Fishing
The Harbour sits in an idyllic location overlooking the river Severn, right next to the Severn Valley Railway station at Arley.
There are several commercial fishing spots in the local area such Boldings Pools.
The Severn Valley Railway
The Severn Valley Railway system has been bewitching and entertaining visitors ever since the mid 60s, when it was saved from the scrap heap by a determined group of local rail enthusiasts.
Arley Station is one of the most picturesque stops on the line. And even better, the station is a short walk way from the Harbour Inn, where you can round off your trip with a drink and lunch or dinner.
Canoeing
There are a number of local companies providing private canoe hire along the Severn. A popular route is the run from Arley to Bewdley.
You could grab some food in the Harbour and fortify yourself for the journey to Bewdley. Who knows maybe you might come back for a post trip celebratory drink with us.
Bridgnorth & Bewdley
The Harbour Inn is midway between a couple of lovely local towns.
Historic Bridgnorth is beautiful, charming and well worth a visit. Made up of High Town and Low Town, connected by the steepest and oldest funicular railway in England, the town was once a busy river port.
Nowadays it’s a haven for visitors, with beautiful views, wonderful architecture and plenty to see and do.
Bewdley, to the south, is an attractive Georgian town which is the gateway to the Wyre Forest and the famous arley Arbouretum. Like Bridgnorth, Bewley is one of the stops on the Severn Valley Railway.
